Google boss says he’ll endorse Obama and hit the campaign trail this week. Just FYI, to all you cynics who think Schmidt must be looking for favors, like Net Neutrality or approval on the Yahoo deal or just a general free pass on monopolistic behavior — it ain’t that. Seriously. Eric just wants to do a solid for a guy he likes. That’s all there is. Move along, folks. BTW if anyone wants to put voice balloons on that photo and send it in, please do. God I wish I still had PhotoCrank or something like it.

Schmidt needs to take himself just a wee bit less seriously. He does these pretentious, poorly done, interviews with bigwigs and now he’s actually campaigning? He’s an acne-scarred geek, not one of the beautiful people. Maybe he should content himself with providing adult supervision at that obscure company he runs, which Henry Blodget now calls “AOL III.”
