Blodget: Yahoo will probably screw up layoffs, too

King of all media Henry Blodget says here that while Yahoo is about to announce massive layoffs, which is a good thing, it’s probably going to screw up on the execution. Reason? Well, we’re talking about Yahoo, which Blodget calls “AOL II.”

  1. Downsizing and the associated layoffs is extremely painful for families. Losing a job should encourage people to review their careers and alternatives to the current situation. Remove YOUR future and security from OTHER’S hands. Consider other possibilities. http://www.LikeSoup.com

  2. Lyons, you’re a creep.

  3. Jim at likesoup… you are what is wrong with the internet.

  4. Follow the plan, Jerry, I laid it out for you in public, SCROLL DOWN THE COMMENTS, now follow the damn plan, or I’ll TEAR OUT YOUR GORILLA HEART AND FEED IT TO THE FESTERING CROCODILES AND BAYING JACKALS. YOU HEARD ME, JERRY!

Don’t try me Jerry, I’ve tasted death this year.

  5. Maybe we should just go ahead and merge- I mean buy- AOL. Have you heard of them?

  6. Layoffs at Yahoo? I kept reading over the months that people are leaving even without being told to.

By now, it should be mission-accomplished at Yahoo, if 1500 was the number they want to achieve.

Focus on stock price (also a number) instead of layoff number? Jerry?

He should be good with numbers.
