My latest column for Newsweek, titled, “A Gloomy Vista for Microsoft,” is here.
Well, they fired him after two commercials.
Let’s hope they fired the marketing team that came up with the concept.
nice to see you can dish it to both sides, dan-o. i was gettin’ worried after the two apple-chompin’ articles.
actually, i have to say, even as a long time mac fan, i like the new “i’m a pc” ads and think they make the right statement: using windows doesn’t (necessarily) make you a dullard. tho’ i’m tremendously disappointed deepak chopra uses windows. ugh. how unenlightened.
“Apple’s Mac computers, which run Apple’s OS X operating system instead of Windows, have been gaining share, reaching 11 percent of the U.S. consumer market, according to researcher NPD. That’s a small slice compared with Microsoft, whose software runs on 90 percent of the world’s PCs”.
@Toto: Nope. One is measuring the U.S. consumer market; the other the world market.
Nice possible catch, though! And he IS mixing apples with oranges there.
