Apple spokesbot: There was no fire

You’ve probably read reports about some kind of fire at the Apple campus. In the finance department. Hmmm. Well I’m happy to say I’ve just received a phone call from an Apple spokesbot who told me, off the record, that in fact those reports were incorrect. “There was no fire,” the person said. I said, But what about the firefighters? The fire trucks? The smoke pouring out of the building? The footage we saw on TV? “There was no fire,” the spokesbot repeated. I asked how it could be that there was smoke, and firetrucks, if there was no fire. Answer: “There was no fire.” Well, anyway, I’m relieved to know that everything is fine.

  1. No fire? Not from where I sat. Lotta MobileMe data from that launch was, uh, lost. Did I just say that out loud?

  2. That was not a fire. However, some employee evaluations did get a bit out of hand, but everything is under control now. The pork-like smell is cleared out of the building.

FYI, we have new openings in the MobileMe department.

  3. PS- I forgot to mention qualifications needed.

  4. Yeah, but you’re Moshe. What’s Steve going to do to you? You’re Moshe. If anybody could get away with saying anything they want, it would be you.

It’s nice to see Katie is still doing okay. Does she do work for third parties? I may need some PR in a few days, weeks, hours.

  6. There is no fire.

    There is no spoon.

I guess now we know who’s REALLY behind The Matrix…
