IBM develops software to help old people remember stuff

See the CNET story about it here. They’re calling it Pensieve and it’s aimed at oldsters. I wonder what made them think of this.

  1. Um, isn’t the “Pensieve” a Harry Potter thing? How long do you think it’ll be before J.K. Rowling’s lawyers get in touch with the old folks home, I mean the IBM board?

  2. I need this software on everywhere computer within my reach.

  3. Looks like a ripoff of Evernote to me.

  4. privacy?

  5. RDL, our non-discussion was great. Just like one of the numerous calls I’ve had with Steve. I was finally able to get you on the phone after calling direct to the LyonsLair* (see, like JobsPod, we need to work on these things). You seemed surprised that I got through, I guess your phone is just ringing off the wall. But you were very cordial. I did my opening line. You gave a big old hearty laugh. Louder than mine, I only giggled. It went well though. Short, real short, like 2 minutes. You mentioned having to run to Bed Bath and Beyond for bath towels.

But it was worth it. Hmmm. *looks around* Hmmm.

    * Other possible names for LyonsLair:
    DanDen
LyonsDen (and that works too, maybe you should go with that one)

  8. So, when do you start your hatchet jobs on McCain?

  9. I have the utmost respect for the hero that is Senator McCain, otherwise knows as Bush III. Both myself and Bush Jr. have similar ideas, but mostly we differ on many topics. It is up to the people of this great nation, the best in the western world, to choose who will lead it into the new millennium in November.

  10. “I have the utmost respect for the hero that is Senator McCain.”

I think you should continue with the policy of ignoring his campaign, the same way you did when you & Hillary were getting all the press.

Let him continue criticizing you… the front-runner doesn’t need to comment on any also-rans.
